The latest Samsung Galaxy S7 leak shows the case design created by manufacturer DHGate that matches the previous leaked images of the upcoming flagship phone.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 cases shown in the leaked photos carry a wholesale price of $2 per unit. The new leak is significant because it confirms that the next flagship unit will still sport a similar design with its predecessor, according to Forbes.
Based on the DHGate photos, the Galaxy S7 will have tempered glass on both front and back sides, plus thin metal edging. It will also have a micro USB port instead of the USB Type-C port, but the microSD card slot will not be included, the report details.

On the positive side, the strategy of following the design of the Galaxy S6 will help Samsung meet the demands for the S6 Edge with curved screen. The South Korean tech giant had previously underestimated the demand for the said unit, the report relays.
However, there were reports earlier this week saying Samsung is gearing up for a 12 percent decline in its smartphone shipments for 2016. If the leaked case design proves to be true, then the projected sales decline can be justified. Unlike Apple, which was able to boost its third-quarter sales with an "S" upgrade, Samsung may use exactly the same design as the Galaxy S6, BGR explains.
Manufacturing a case for an upcoming smartphone based on leaked information alone is a tricky feat. If the case design turns out to be incongruent with the actual phone, the manufacturer could end up with unsold stocks. However, if the design is correct, the manufacturer has the advantage of having the cases ready before the official launch date of the device.
The final design for the Galaxy S7 is expected to be revealed early next year, the report adds.
