Lea Michele Honors Cory Monteith With Song on New Album
Lea Michele is releasing a solo album featuring a song written for her late boyfriend, Cory Monteith, according to reports this week.
Co-stars on "Glee," Michele and Monteith were together for over a year when Monteith was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room in July. The actor died at 31 from a toxic combination of heroin and alcohol.
In the months that followed, Michele coped publicly with the loss of her boyfriend by "choosing to rise," and now, the actress is talking about her upcoming album.

"The album was done, and the label said, 'Do you want to add anything?'" the 27-year-old explained to Elle magazine.
Debating about whether or not to pay tribute to Monteith on the album, Michele ultimately opted to do so.
"I was like, 'I might regret it if I don't,'" she said.
Furthermore, the tribute song was written by Michele herself with help from Australian songwriter Sia, and is based on the last words Monteith ever told her, "If You Say So." The actress has the same words tattooed on her rib cage.
"I said [to Sia], 'I feel like I'm starting to just sink in it, and he [Cory] would never want me to do that," Michele said to Elle. "I need to remember that you have to live, because you can want to die."
Michele's upcoming album also includes a track called "You're Mine," which she said makes her "think so much of Cory."
"It was ours," she said. "When I think of him, I play this."
Meanwhile, Michele has recently revealed how she initially dealt with Monteith's death. Stricken with grief and hounded by paparazzi, Michele relied on the support of her friend, Kate Hudson.
"I called [Kate] and said, 'I don't know where I'm going to go because my house is swarmed [with reporters].' She was like, 'Oh you're going to stay at my house.' Like it was nothing," said Michele, according to Elle magazine. "No one knew I was there. I'll never be able to thank her, truly, for what she did for me."
