LeAnn Rimes, Eddie Cibrian Slam Brandi Glanville, Explain Affair on New Reality Show (VIDEO)

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian recently released the trailer for their first ever reality TV show and the short clip reignited criticism about their infamous affair.

The controversial couple will debut "LeAnn & Eddie" on the VH1 network next month and in a preview they open up about their 2009 affair scandal. In 2009, Rimes, who was married to chef Dean Sheremet at the time, had an extramarital affair with Cibrian, who was married to reality star Brandi Glanville and the drama surrounding the scandal has been played out publicly ever since.

"Our relationship didn't quite start off like we had planned," Rimes says in the opening.

"We were both married to other people when we fell in love. Was it the best way to start off? Of course not, but it happened," Eddie says.

Some critics have openly blasted the pair on social media for appearing to be unapologetic in the trailer, while fans have pointed out that the affair occurred five years ago.

While they were both famous for their respective work prior to cheating, much of their current publicity revolves around their affair and the seemingly never ending drama that continues to surround it.

Cibrian shares two sons with Glanville however they will reportedly not be featured on the show. Both the troubled singer, 31, and the actor, 40, happily discuss Glanville throughout the clip.

"Contrary to what some people think (cough) my ex-wife, I actually do work," Cibrian says in one scene.

In another scene Rimes, who sought professional help for "stress" back in 2012, is heard discussing Glanville supposedly needing rehab with a group of women. The troubled singer and the "Real Housewives" star are renowned for going back and forth with subliminal insults on Twitter and still to this day appear to dislike one another.

"She said Brandi needs rehab … yeah for alcohol," Rimes is heard saying.

In one bizarre scene the happy couple joke about Cibrian sharing messages with his ex-wife.

"Whose texting?" Rimes asks Cibrian who is reading a message on his cell phone.

"It's just Brandi," the actor jokingly responds prompting Rimes to nudge him.
