Lebron James' USA Basketball Career Likely Over? 'He's Done Enough'

Lebron James will likely not be returning to play for team USA basketball because of his age and all he has already accomplished representing the country.

James will not be playing the 2014 world championships in Spain, and would be doubtful to play in 2016 Olympics in Brazil, according to reports.

"LeBron is going to be three years older during the next Olympics. He will have two older boys. He has a lot to endure with his family," a source told Yahoo! Sports. "He played in three Olympics. Everyone that knows LeBron knows it's always based on a decision at that moment. But if the moment was today, the answer would be no."

James already has two gold medals and a bronze with the U.S. team, so is not much more for him to accomplish.

"The only way I could see him playing in the Olympics is if his country really, really needed him to play," the source said. "But hasn't he done enough?"

The 28-year-old played in 99 games if you include the NBA Finals, and that is not including the games he played in the summer for the 2012 Olympics.

Other players that will probably be finished with their Olympic playing days are Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade, and Kobe Bryant. The next generation of faces are Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden.

Lebron James was recently the biggest winner at ESPN ESPY Awards as he took home his second Best Male Athlete of the Year, and Best Championship Performance, and Best NBA Player as well as two team awards for Best Game (Heat vs. Spurs Game 6), and Best Team.
