'Lego Dimensions' Releases Story Trailer (VIDEO)
"Lego Dimensions" has just released its story trailer featuring a threat from an evil mastermind, prompting heroes to band together and save the day.
The new Lego action-adventure video game, "Lego Dimensions" follows multiple superheroes from different worlds as they come together to save the Lego multiverse from villainous Lord Vortech.
The plot follows the evil mastermind as he seeks out the planet's Foundational Elements in his bid to control the multiverse. Vortech opens several vortexes in a number of worlds, gathering local villains in each world to help him in his search for the powerful bricks.

The vortexes damages the boundaries separating the worlds, causing them to overlap and displace many of Lego's characters.
Metalbeard, Frodo and Robin are sucked into some of the vortexes, prompting Wyldstyle, Gandalf, and Batman to jump in after their friends.
When they all emerge in the Land of Oz, they decide to become allies and travel through space and time in the fight against Vortech to stop his evil plan.
Developed by English software house, Traveller's Tales, and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the game presents a "toys-to-life" format that players can use with actual Lego figures and the "Lego Dimensions" singe-player and multiplayer portal.
Lego Dimensions will include several characters from 14 different comicbook, TV and movie franchises, including "The Lord of the Rings," "Lego Ninjago," "Scooby-Doo," "DC Comics," "Jurassic World," "The Wizard of Oz," "The Lego Movie," "The Simpsons," "Lego Chima," "Doctor Who," "Back to the Future," "Midway Arcade," "Ghostbusters" and "Portal."
Players can pre-order the Starter Pack which comes with a Lego Toy Pad, bricks for the Lego Gateway, Batman, Gandalf, and Wyldstyle figures, and the Batmobile.
"Lego Dimensions" is scheduled for launch on Sept. 27, and will be available for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U.
