LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE Tablet Launched in South Korea, Specs Include Snapdragon 615, 8MP Camera

Good news for LG fans! The South Korean electronics company has released a new variant of their 8-inch and 10.1-inch tablets in the G Pad.

According to NDTV Gadgets, the tablet is dubbed as the LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE and it sports an 8.3-inch display with 1920 x 1200 FHD pixel resolution, an upgrade over the G Pad II 8.0's 1200 x 800 display.

Enclosed with a brushed metal texture on the back, the device is packed under the hood with 1GHz octa-core CPU Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, Adreno 405 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. Phone Arena detailed that it comes with 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 2000 GB via a microSD card.

Measuring 216.8 x 126.5 x 8.8mm, the device weighs 366g and runs with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It's quite surprising though since Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been around for some time already. Perhaps an update may be expected soon.

For those who are fond of taking photos, the LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE sports an 8-megapixel primary camera with features such as geo-tagging, touch focus, panorama and HDR. Video taking capacity is 1080p at 30fps. On the front, users will find a 2-megapixel secondary camera for shooting selfies.

The device also comes with a non-removable battery with a capacity of 4800mAh which should be enough to keep the lights on for a long period of time. XDA also noted that the tablet comes with a built-in stylus.

The tablet supports 4G LTE and is pre-installed with Microsoft Office apps. Other connectivity options available include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. Basic sensors are incorporated which includes proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope and compass, as noted in GSM Arena.

The LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE is now available in South Korean carrier LG U+. It is not detailed though if it will be available in other markets of the world.
