Liam Hemsworth 'Much Happier' With Being Single, Actor Reveals

Actor Liam Hemsworth claims to be happier and more settled in life now that he is single and working. Hemsworth was previously engaged to Miley Cyrus but the two separated; since then, Hemsworth has remained single and is focused on himself and being happy.

"I've learned so much," Hemsworth told the Associated Press in a new interview. "The first few years in L.A. were really tough and scary, but I had to figure things out for myself. These days I feel like I'm more centered and grounded than I've ever been."

During his relationship with Cyrus, he had to deal with rumors of cheating and an alleged intervention by his brothers who wanted him to end the relationship. He took his time, though, and made the decision to end the relationship on his own after reportedly trying everything to stay with Cyrus.

Hemsworth holds no hard feelings toward his ex-fiancé and told Extra's Terri Seymour that he "is extremely happy for all of her success" while admitting that he didn't "have a lady at the moment."

"What I always keep in mind is that I know what the truth is and that's all that matters," Hemsworth explained. "I know I'm a good person. For a few years I went down a path where I forgot to be in the moment and enjoy the moment."

He credits surfing, kickboxing, and spending time with friend and co-star Jennifer Lawrence with helping him find pleasure in life again. The two worked together on "Hunger Games: Catching Fire" and have been busy promoting the film. He'll also work with Lawrence in the final installation of the "Hunger Games" trilogy.

"Being around someone like Jen, who is so honest and laughs all day long, I am forced to be in the right now. I'm much happier," Hemsworth said.
