Lindsey Vonn, 'Life is Awesome! I Love It!'

Lindsey Vonn has had several ups and downs this year; the Olympic medalist severely injured her knee and had to take time off for rehabilitation. She also started dating Tiger Woods and is finally finding her own way in life, which she says is "awesome."

"From a personal standpoint, everything in my life has changed. It's a complete 180 in a short period of time," Vonn told People magazine. "I went from being married to living on my own in L.A., to having a new boyfriend and just being totally self-sufficient and super independent. It's awesome. I love it!"

Vonn married fellow skier Thomas Vonn in 2007, but the two separated only four years later. Their divorce was finalized in 2013 and she began dating pro-golfer Tiger Woods not long after. He was there for her when she tragically injured her knee during a competition; Woods even sent his private jet to bring her safely home to the U.S.

Vonn and Woods tried to keep their relationship a secret, but after her injury, there was no denying it. Now the two are quite happy together and she has even given his family skiing lessons.

"There's really nothing about him that bothers me," Vonn said "He doesn't even leave the seat up! It's awesome."

After her injury, Vonn promised that she would be back on the slopes in time for the 2014 Sochi Games. She posted pictures reassuring fans that she was okay and would be back sooner than expected, and this weekend she will get the chance to fulfill that promise. Vonn will head to Chile this weekend and be on the slopes on Monday.

"It's probably going to be slower than I want it to be. But I'm really excited just to be out there, to be in the mountains, to be going fast again," Vonn said.

She's still not sure whether Woods will be at the Sochi games, though, because he's "kind of a fish out of water in the cold weather. It's going to be really cute!" Vonn joked.
