Madeleine McCann: Woman 'Sure' Sighting was Maddie
The British tourist that claimed to have spotted Madeleine McCann in the northern city of Leh, India has said that she is certain that the little girl she witnessed was indeed Madeleine.
The tourist, who goes by the name of Carol, was visiting the Himalayan city of Leh when she spotted a little girl with a striking resemblance to Madeleine McCann in a market.
When asked by a local journalist why she believed the girl was Madeleine she responded, "It’s almost impossible not to recognize her. We have seen her face so many times."

The young girl was with a French woman and her Belgian husband that claimed to be her parents.
DNA tests will be held, however, Madeleine's parents have already discounted the possibility that the little girl spotted in northern India is actually their daughter.
The McCann's spokesman Clarence Mitchell said in a statement, "Kate and Gerry do not believe the child seen in India was Madeleine. They have seen photographic evidence and concluded that it was not her. We remain grateful for people's vigilance around the world. Madeleine is still out there and the search for her very much continues."
Madeleine McCann was just three-years-old when she was kidnapped from her family's holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, on May 3, 2007.
Her parents were at a nearby restaurant away from the apartment when Maddie went missing. She was sleeping in her bed near her twin brother and sister, who Mrs. McCann believes were drugged to remain silent.
Maddie was days short of her fourth birthday when she went missing.
The kidnapping sparked a worldwide search for Madeleine, and intense media speculation about the exact details of the night she went missing.
Madeleine would now be eight-years-old.
Mother Kate McCann has described the pain of losing Madeleine as "crippling."
Portuguese police officially closed the inquiry into the girl's disappearance in 2008. However, the McCann's are determined that their daughter is still alive and work with private investigators to continue the search for their beloved Madeleine.
This past May, Scotland Yard in England was asked to conduct a review of the investigation, causing speculation as to why the review was not conducted earlier when evidence was still new and fresh.
