Madonna Forgives Elton John for Stripper Comments; 'He's a Big Fan!'

Madonna has said she forgives Elton John for his stripper comments. The pop singer dedicated a sing to Elton John during a gig in Nice, France, saying that she knew John was a "big fan" before launching into Masterpiece.

Elton John previously criticized Madonna, describing her as a "fairground stripper."

However, Madonna has felt the best way to get back at him was a bit of tongue in cheek humor at her concert in front of thousands of adoring fans.

"I know he's a big fan of it. And I know he's a big fan of mine. And you know? I forgive him. Gotta start somewhere," she said.

Elton John, however, is clearly not a big fan, and earlier this month he launched into a fierce attack on the pop singer saying that her "career was over."

The comments which were made during an interview to Australian TV stated: "Why is she such a nightmare? Sorry, her career is over. Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn't happen to a bigger ****."

He continued, "If Madonna had any common sense she would have made a record like Ray Of Light and stayed away from the dance stuff and just been a great pop singer and make great pop records, which she does brilliantly."

Not stopping, he added, "But no, she had to go and prove... she looks like a ******* fairground stripper. She's been horrible to GaGa."

Elton John is not the only one who has rebuked Madonna; his gay partner David Furnish has also laid into Madonna, calling her "desperate" as he vented his fury that Madonna beat John to Best Original Song gong at the Golden Globes earlier this year.

"Madonna winning Best Original Song truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit. Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in its narcissism," Furnish said.
