Maksim: 'I Love Her,' DWTS Champ Reunites With Partner Meryl Davis

"Dancing with the Stars" season 18 champions Maksin Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis were reunited in New York City on Monday, just weeks after their win.

The dancing duo were a fan favorite on "DWTS" season 18, and their electric chemistry in the ballroom even caused rumors of a romance. While Chmerkovskiy and Davis have denied being romantically involved, the "DWTS" pro dancer admitted he "loves" Davis.

Asked to talk about his Olympic ice skating partner, Chmerkovskiy said, "About our romance?" while attending the 32nd Fred Astaire Awards on Monday, June 2, according to Us Weekly. Then, smiling, he added, "No, we're good. We're great. She's an amazing person."

The 34-year-old "DWTS" pro went on to avoid directly addressing rumors of his romance with Davis while pointing out that dancers often produce speculation because of the close proximity on the dance floor. However, Chmerkovskiy noted he does love Davis.

"I love her, I love her," he gushed. "I love her as a person and for what she has allowed me to do with our choreography and how much she's embraced it… I literally had a perfect partnership with Meryl. Everything just came together."

The dancing duo earned the season 18 mirrorball trophy on "DWTS" last month, marking the first time Chmerkovskiy has won the title in 16 seasons with the ABC show. On Tuesday, June 3, David and Chmerkoskiy reunited for a special night out.

"All is right in the world again! Got my long awaited hug," Chmerkovskiy posted along with a photo on Instagram taken from the reunion. David was featured smiling and cuddled up to Chmerkovskiy in the snapshot.

Despite previous reports that the pair were "touchy-feely" together, a source close to Chmerkovskiy clarified that the pro dancer is "that affectionate with all women," according to Us Weekly.

"It's how he is, he's very touchy-feely," the insider added.
