March 21 Apple Event Expected to Shrink Newest iPhone 6
Analysts seem to have reached a consensus that Apple's upcoming conference from its headquarters in Cupertino, California will announce smaller and more refined designs of existing products.
The current line-up of products will see small versions of themselves announced, namely the iPhone 6 SE being predicted to be 4 inches. The device will keep the internal components and performance of the iPhone 6 and 6s but in smaller iPhone 5 sizes. There will additionally be a likely upgrade to the camera and continued support of the Touch ID feature.
The iPad Pro, currently 9.7 inches, is also expected to be revealed in a smaller unit. A Smart Connector and Apple Pencil support are also projected to be added to the iPad Pro. The Apple Watch will probably not receive any new hardware despite the recent trend in price drops, but rather a series of cosmetic options like differently colored wristbands will be offered.
Macbook updates will most likely be absent from this event, as none of the recent leaks have indicated such a move by the company. Software updates will be scattered through the reveal.
The live stream will begin at 10:00 AM PDT in San Francisco and 1:00 PM EST in New York. It can be seen through a dedicated Apple TV channel, the Safari browser on OS X (10.8.5 and later) and iOS (iOS 7 and later).
