Mark Hamill Returns? Actor 'In Talks' for New 'Star Wars' Film
Is Mark Hamill returning to the role that gave him his name? New reports state that Hamill is "in talks" with the producer and writer of "Star Wars: Episode VII."
"They're talking to us," he told "Entertainment Tonight." "George (Lucas) wanted to know whether we'd be interested. He did say that if we didn't want to do it, they wouldn't cast another actor in our parts – they would write us out."
So far, Hamill, Harrison Ford, and possibly Carrie Fisher have been rumored to be returning to the series. Yet nothing is written in stone yet; negotiations are still in the early stage, which means that anything could happen.

"We haven't signed any contracts," Hamill explained. "We're in the stage where they want us to go in and meet with Michael Arndt, who is the writer, and Kathleen Kennedy, who is going to run Lucasfilm. Both have had meetings set that were postponed."
All sorts of rumors have been circulating since the "Star Wars" film was announced, and various actors have said that they would love to be a part of the new movie and revisit their characters.
"I'm not surprised but totally geeked by the idea of there being more 'Star Wars,'" Samuel L. Jackson told E! News. "It's like, okay, Obi-Wan was dead when episode four started, so maybe everyone thinks I'm dead and we'll find out what happened to Mace Windu."
"I can come back as one-armed or a one-handed Jedi that's still around that didn't actually die. I could do that or be a ghost hologram. I don't care! I just want to stay associated with the franchise. Not that I won't, because I've been in three of them," Jackson added.
Ewan McGregor, the original Obi Wan, has also expressed interest in returning to the series.
"Yeah, sure … absolutely. If they need me, I'll be there," he told "Access Hollywood."
"Star Wars: Episode VII" is expected to be out in 2015.
