'Mary Mary' Ending: 5 of the Gospel Duo's Most Memorable TV Moments
5. Firing Mitchell Solarek
Mitchell Solarek was a vital part of the "Mary Mary" show as the group's boisterous manager who struggled to keep up with his clients who had to balance pregnancies, family time and touring. Tensions began to rise between the sisters, Solarek and their family who believed that the manager was overstepping his boundaries in how he communicated with them.
While the Marys fired Solarek in the third season of the show, the business relationship did not end smoothly.
"What you all don't know is he sued us, tried to steal my publishing as if he wrote a song. Then put it on TMZ, trying to destroy my career," Erica said on the fourth season of the show. "Now you're standing at my door. For what? Unless you're here to apologize you need to turn around and go back to Nashville sir."
During the fifth season of the show, Solarek returned once again to convince Warryn Campbell that "The Voice" alumna Koryn Hawthorne could help him make a Mary Mary record when Tina wasn't ready to.
"This is how I know Mitchell is best friends with the devil," producer Warryn said on the show. "Right when I'm on the hook for all this money with Sony, he shows up."
The new season of "Mary Mary" comes on We TV every Thursday at 9 p.m.
