Mary Mary's Erica Campbell Says Jesus Got Her Through Filming TV Show

Erica Campbell, one half of the Grammy Award-winning gospel music duo Mary Mary, is revealing how Jesus helped her get through filming a tumultous season of her reality television show "Mary Mary."

Erica, 41, and her sister Tina,39, star in the third season of Mary Mary on WE tv which premiered Feb. 27. Fans will watch the gospel singers' father battle cancer, the women fire their manager, deal with vocal issues and deal with marriage infidelity all while cameras are rolling.

Erica recently told Hip Hollywood that she was not sure if she would have made it through those issues without Jesus.

"It was pretty crazy and I wasn't sure we were going to make it through," she told Hip Hollywood. "At the top of the year when I came up with the song 'I need a little more Jesus' ... it's because thats what I really needed … and it really carried me through."

She previously told Mstarz.com that viewers this season will need, "a seat belt and a helmet, because it will be a bumpy ride, a lot of craziness, but me and my sister have always let our faith stand out front."

Erica is not denying that her show will be full of drama but said she hopes the gospel music group's fans will still watch the show.

"It will be a lot to watch, and I hope people support and understand a lot about what it is to go through, and go through publicly," she told Mstarz.com.

However, Erica insists that although the Christian duo may be Christ-centered, people are not interested in being entertained by people who do not deal with real life issues.

"I'll say this. As an executive producer, I don't want to watch you be perfect," Erica said while appearing on V-103's "Ryan Cameron Morning Show" last year. "I don't want to watch a show where you come on [and say] 'I am so happy I'm waking up this morning.'"
