Meagan Good Says She Won't Wear Turtlenecks To Make People Comfortable

Meagan Good, the Christian actress, recently revealed that she aims to be a voice for those who are misunderstood because of their personal style.

Good, 32, came under fire last June when she presented the BET "Best Gospel Artist" award in a revealing blue dress with a plunging neckline. The Christian actress' wardrobe caused a number of people to take to social media networks like Twitter to question the actress who has been vocal about her faith in numerous interviews lately.

However, Good recently revealed that she is not the stereotypical minister's wife that people expect her to be.

"I was shocked that people cared so much. I guess it's because I'm married to a minister," Good said in an interview with VLAD TV recently. "Some people feel like I should wear a turtleneck or something but that's not who I am. If that's not what God tells me to do then I'm not going to do that to make other people comfortable."

Good said she identifies with people who may be judged because of their physical appearance.

"I'm comfortable with me, I love me," She told VLAD TV. "And I feel like I speak to girls and women that are like me…That are often misjudged and often looked down or talked about because people don't get their heart or their spirit based off something as small as what they might choose to wear that day."

The Christian actress revealed her intentions for connecting with those who may be judged unfairly.

"...I try to be love and light to them, I try to do what I can to build God's kingdom and reach people that I immediately connect with because we are similar," she told VLAD TV.

Last February, Good broke down in tears when describing how she identifies with Christians who are judged for their appearance while speaking with husband DeVon Franklin at Pastor Toure Roberts' One Church International in Los Angeles.

"I love him with everything. To have people tell you that … my heart goes out to the misfits and underdogs and the people who are looked down upon and judged because of people looking down at their appearance and what they've been through and what they've experienced," Good said. "It breaks my heart. I realize what God put me in the position to do and it grows every day is to tell those people I look just like you."
