Mega Millions Numbers for September 2, 2016; Schedule and Live Results for $92 Million Jackpot Drawing

The Mega Millions prize for Friday, September 2 draw just got jacked up to $92 million, with a one-time cash payout value of $63 million after tax and other deductions.
Mega Millions lottery are held twice every week, Tuesday and Friday, at 11 p.m. Eastern Time.
Recap of August 30 draw
The pot raise came after no one won the grand prize last Wednesday, August 30. The winning numbers were 28, 32, 41, 51, and 71, while the golden ball was 11. The Megaplier was 4x. The estimated jackpot prize then was at $84 million, with an estimated cash-out option at $58 million.
No one won the top two prizes, namely, the jackpot prize and the $1 million prize. Twenty lucky players were able to match four white balls plus the yellow ball for $5,000. Two lucky players among them opted for the Megaplier, which quadrupled their winnings to $20,000. On the other hand, 245 other players matched four white balls for the $500 prize, while 24 others played the Megaplier option to gain $2,000.
About 1,421 winners were able to match three white balls plus the golden ball for $500, while 177 played for the Megaplier option for $200. More than a million other players were able to match one to two white balls plus the golden ball to win prizes of $1, $2, and $5.
How to play the Mega Millions
Wondering how to play the Mega Millions lottery? It's quite simple, actually. Players simply have to submit five numbers from one to 75, which will be matched with the white balls drawn. Then choose another number from one to 15, which will be matched with the golden ball drawn. You win by matching the numbers drawn on the lottery date.
Each Mega Millions ticket costs $1. While the Megaplier option, which multiplies your non-jackpot earnings by two to five times, will set you back an extra $2. According to the Mega Millions website, the odds of winning the jackpot are one in 259 million, while the odds of winning any prize are one in 14.7. And there are nine ways to win the Mega Millions, from matching all five white balls and the golden ball for the jackpot prize, to simply matching the golden ball for a $1 prize.
If someone does win the jackpot, the game will reset the pot prize back to $15 million, and will continue to grow everyday each lottery date that no one brings home the grand prize. The Mega Millions lottery is currently played in 46 localities or 44 states, including the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands.
