Megan Fox, Brian Austin Green Baby Name Revealed

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green welcomed their second son together earlier this month, but the name of the child is now available.

In contrast to the couple's first son's name taken from the Bible, Noah, Fox and Green have selected a moniker taken from Buddhism for their second child together, Bodhi Ransom Green. The name was revealed in Bodhi's birth certificate obtained by TMZ.

According to its definition, Bodhi in Buddhism is the understanding possessed by a Buddha regarding the nature of things. It also means "enlightenment" when translated into English, and literally means awakened. Bodhi also used synonymously with the state of nirvana, being freed from hate, greed and ego, according to the baby name website NameBerry.com.

Fox and her husband are not the only celebrity parents to take a liking to the name Bodhi; actress Amy Brenneman and her husband used the same name for their son, while Carly Simon and James Taylor's grandson is also named Bodhi.

Reports arose last week indicating that Fox delivered her second son on Feb. 12, but few other details were known at the time. The actress has been married to Green since 2012, and they are already parents to their one-year-old son Noah Shannon as well as Green's son Kassius, 11, from a previous relationship.

Meanwhile, Fox and Green have not released a statement about the latest addition to their family, which comes as no surprise since the couple never formally acknowledged the arrival of Noah back in September of 2012. Although the couple prefers to keep their family out of the limelight, Fox has admitted that she wanted "at least two, probably three kids" in a past interview with Cosmopolitan magazine.

The celebrity couple first met on the set of "Hope and Faith" in 2004. Fox and Green then announced their engagement in 2006, and after an on-and-off again relationship, married in 2010 in Hawaii.
