The annual Met Gala 2013 has revealed dozens of celebrities' dark sides during Monday night's fashion face off.

Complete with the theme "Punk: Chaos to Couture," this year's Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit saw some very unusual choices from today's hottest stars, including Beyonce and Miley Cyrus.

Cohesive with Monday night's punk theme, actresses such as Sarah Jessica Parker and January Jones included mohawks in their look for the evening, while Sienna Miller and Madonna opted for accessories involving metal spikes.

Furthermore, 20-year-old Miley Cyrus styled her cropped blonde hair into spikes, while 31-year-old Nicole Richie debuted curious gray hair.

In another unusual hair change, Anne Hathaway stepped onto the Met Gala red carpet with bleach blonde hair. The normally brunette and recently pixie-haired actress combined the new look with a black and sheer gown by Valentino.

Blending in with the avant-garde theme of the evening, Katy Perry wore a religion-inspired dress by Dolce & Gabbana paired with a crown and dark lipstick.

The Met Costume Gala also saw brighter looks by People magazine's "Most Beautiful Woman" Gwyneth Paltrow and Model Kate Upton.

Paltrow wore a bright pink gown by Valentino while Upton wore a green Diane Von Furstenburg dress.

Alternately, actresses Amber Heard and Kate Beckinsale wore red gowns by Pucci and Alberta Ferretti, respectively.

Among some of the most outlandish looks were that of Giovanna Battaglia who wore safety pins in her hair and Elle Fanning with excessive blue eye makeup.

Gisele Bundchen, who was joined by her NFL star husband Tom Brady, wore a racy black and metallic mini dress by Anthony Vacarello.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez and model Coco Rocha both opted for dresses with animal prints on them. Lopez paired upswept hair and minimal jewelry with her Michael Kors dress, Rocha's Ungaro gown featured gold dragonfly embellishments.
