Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes News: PC Mod Allows Gameplay for Users in First-Person

Fans and gamers can now get a new perspective on "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes" after a Nexus mod developer released a PC mod that makes the game playable through the eyes of Snake.

Produced by Konami and developed by Kojima Productions, the action adventure stealth game initially came out last year in March for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. Initially built as a third-person stealth game, fans will now be able to experience the game in first person POV thanks to a new PC mod.

Pao, the Nexus developer responsible for the first-person mod, released it via Nexus Mods. While there are a few bugs though, such as things vanishing and pistol animations not working, but Pao has assured gamers that updates and fixes will be following soon.

Interested games who want to check out what it's like can watch a "First Person Mod" video uploaded by YouTuber BenBlatcher, who says that the new version makes things "more tense."

"You've gotta be really careful and try and get a good view on things beforehand," he said. "You've got to rely on your senses a lot more."

Other than a new perspective on "Ground Zeroes," there's still a lot more to look forward to, especially with the upcoming release of "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain."

Troy Baker, who voices Ocelot in the game, was interviewed on Twitch and talked about the upcoming "The Phantom Pain" and the franchise.

"It's really different. It fits perfectly into the franchise," he said, when asked about the game. "I'm really curious to see what people think."

Not only that, but Baker also spoke of good things about the franchise, saying, "It may be the biggest game I've ever seen. Just in terms of everything you can do. Skyrim looks like an afternoon playpen next to it."

That's a pretty tall order considering how big "Skyrim" and its franchise are, but hopefully Baker is right when the game comes out this year.
