'Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain' News: Konami Releases Diamond Dog Trailer (VIDEO)
Less than two weeks before the "Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain" launch, Konami has released a video of canine companion, Diamond Dog.
With the highly-anticipated release of "Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain" early next month, Konami and Kojima Productions are continuing to hype up what is reported to be celebrated video game designer Hideo Kojima's final Konami title with a video introducing Diamond Dog.
The video depicts the first meeting between Big Boss and canine companion in a wooded and hilly area in the field. It also shows Diamond Dog carried several feet up in the air by a Fulton parachute, Snake lifting him up while the dog wags his tail, and a sequence showing them boarding a helicopter.

The new trailer has been presented before as part of other videos, but this is the first time it has been released as a single segment.
"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" will reportedly include a number of new features giving it a different feel from all the series' previous titles. One of the new features includes taking Diamond Dog along during missions after first rescuing him as a puppy and sending him to Mother Base via the surface-to-air Fulton recovery system.
"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" is said to be Kojima's final installment for Konami. As part of its corporate restructuring, Konami earlier announced in March it would be parting ways with Hideo Kojima, the original designer, producer, writer, and director of the "Metal Gear" series, and his company, Kojima Productions. however, he will still be involved in the "Metal Gear" franchise.
The last game in the series is scheduled for a simultaneous all-region release on Sept. 1 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
