Michael Bay's Benghazi Movie Releases First Trailer (VIDEO)
Director Michael Bay and Paramount Pictures have released the first trailer of the movie "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi," about the 2012 attack in Libya.
The action thriller film by director Michael Bay, "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, has unveiled its first trailer showing the Islamist terrorist attack on the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya on Sept. 11, 2012.
The film takes place during the 11th anniversary of the original Sept. 11 attacks and tells the story of how the CIA Annex in Benghazi was defended by a six-man security team against an assault by Islamist militants, which killed four American citizens, including U.S. Ambassador, J. Christopher Stevens.

The controversial movie will also take a look at the criticism State Department Officials received for failing to provide adequate security prior to the attack, with only six military personnel assigned to protect diplomatic officials, a controversy that continues to hound Secretary of State Hilary Clinton to this day.
Clinton is due to testify before the House select committee's investigating body on Oct. 22 this year about security on the compound, and the Obama administration's decision to blame the attack on protests over an anti-Islam video.
Apart from U.S. Ambassador Stevens, who became the first U.S. ambassador to die in the line of duty since the 1970s, two CIA contractors and a U.S. foreign service IMS officer were also killed in the attack.
"13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of the Benghazi" will star John Krasinski, James Badge Dale, Max Martini, Pablo Schreiber, Toby Stephens and David Denman.
Bay, who is known for his explosive blockbuster action films, "Bad Boys" and its sequel, "Bad Boys 2," "Armageddon," and the "Transformers franchise, will be putting in his third non-fiction film with "13 Hours," following his two other historical and based-on-true-stories projects, 2001's "Pearl Harbor" and 2013's "Pain & Gain."
The film, written by award-winning "Prince of Thieves" author, Chuck Hogan, is due to premiere in U.S. theaters on Jan. 15, 2016.
