Microsoft Announces First Xbox One Update 2016
Microsoft Corp. has announced the first Xbox One update for 2016 that will first be rolled out to Preview Program members.
On Tuesday, Microsoft announced that the first Xbox One update for this year will introduce more social features to allow users to see the members of a Party before they join. It will also bring a new Gamerscore Leaderboard and better Home screen and activity feed, according to PC Mag.
The Xbox One update is now being rolled out to the Preview members and will come to Windows 10 PC and the mobile Xbox Beta app members the following week. The rest of the audience will receive the update next month, the report details.

In a blog post, Microsoft's director of program management Mike Ybarra explained that the update aims to bring a more social experience to the Xbox Live community.
"We're focused on continuing to improve social features to help you stay connected to the Xbox Live community across console and PC, while bringing these experiences closer together."
The update's improved social features will help a gamer avoid annoying players by letting them see the members of a party. They can also join by clicking the Chat button.
Players can also go to the Achievements section on their profile to see the new Gamerscore Leaderboard. That way, they will be able to compare their performance with their friends within a 30-day period, the International Business Times reports.
In addition, the Xbox One update lets gamers re-arrange the Pins on their Home screen and access them offline. They will also now be able to receive notification when there is a new content and view Xbox News posts on their activity feed.
Unfortunately, the first Xbox One update for 2016 does not come with support for background music, but players can still use Groove Music to listen to their own playlist on Xbox One.
