Miley Cyrus Clears Up Liam Hemsworth Rant Rumors

Miley Cyrus wants to make it clear that she is not speaking negatively about her ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

Hemsworth, the 24-year-old Australian actor, dated 21-year-old Cyrus for four years before the pair parted ways last year. After rumors swirled about Cyrus ranting about her ex-fiance in concert, she is defending herself against the claims.

" I don't usually respond to tabloidy stuff but this isn't something I want being spread around. It sounded hateful but not what I meant," Cyrus tweeted. "Just FYI what I said the other night at G.A.Y had nothing to do with Liam. I was just tryin to rile up the boys. I never want hateful things being said about those I care about… I was just tooooo turnttttt up."

Cyrus' comments come after she performed at London nightclub G-A-Y where she went on a rant that left some questioning if she was speaking about her former love interest.

"Every time you get in your car, you're going to hear my (expletive) song on the (expletive) radio, you piece of (expletive)," she shouted during the concert. "I'm gonna swing around, and then I'm gonna hold the record for the most-watched music video on Vevo."

Cyrus has been the face of controversy lately as a singer who has seemingly prided herself on her provocative appearance more than her music. The singer caused a stir during her MTV Video Music Awards performance, when she stripped down to a nude bikini while gyrating on married R&B singer Robin Thicke, 37.

She made it clear that she is more comfortable with public nudity than being emotional in front of people.

"For me, nudity has never been something that I've ever tripped about," she told VEVO last year. "I don't really see it the way everyone else sees it. I'd rather be naked in front of people than cry in front of people because I don't like showing weakness and that shows a lot of vulnerabilities."
