Miley Cyrus Doubts She'll Be Asked Back to MTV VMAs
Miley Cyrus recently joked about possibly never being asked back to the MTV VMAs due to her controversial performance with Robin Thicke.
The "Wrecking Ball" singer, 21, revealed that while her lewd VMAs performance was her "biggest moment" of 2013, she understands that her twerking among other things ruffled a few feathers.
In late August Cyrus took to the stage at Brooklyn's Barclays Center to perform with Thicke during his hit song "Blurred Lines." Her provocative dance routine and skimpy costume sparked outrage.

"Everyone else's, I think, biggest moment of me was the VMAs. That was probably my biggest moment ... I was pretty stoked to perform there," Cyrus said backstage at Power 96.1's Jingle Ball on Wednesday, Dec. 11 in Atlanta.
"I doubt they're ever gonna ask me back," she joked. "But just kidding … I don't know."
At one point Cyrus danced provocatively with Thicke, who is a married man, and subsequently she faced severe backlash for her overtly sexualized performance.
The former Disney star's controversial performance left critics wondering whether it was an attempt to permanently break away from her "Hannah Montana" image, and she appeared to confirm this theory.
She also acknowledged that while her performance sparked controversy, it has ultimately boosted her career following the October release of her Bangerz album.
"It kind of just opened so many doors for me to be like, alright, I already p----- you off as much as I possibly can. So, now I can kind of just be freer and kind of do whatever it is that we want to do," she said.
"That was before my record even came out, so I mean, it was the beginning of what I was showing people what I was gonna do," she explained.
The pop star will perform live at Times Square on New Year's Eve and host Ryan Seacrest recently explained why she was selected to do so.
"We try to look for the artist that's created a lot of buzz and had a really big year," Seacrest told talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.
