Miley Cyrus Slams Overdose Rumors, Resumes Tour

Miley Cyrus is once again performing along her "Bangerz" tour this week following her hospitalization last month, but rumors are still suggesting that the singer experienced a drug overdose.

The "Wrecking Ball" singer was hospitalized following a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics she was taking to treat a sinus infection just three weeks ago. However, some reports speculated that Cyrus' medical condition was the result of drug use and possibly an overdose. Clearing the air, Cyrus spoke at a press conference ahead of the European leg of the Bangerz tour on Tuesday.

"I'm the poster child for good health," the singer said, according to Us Weekly.

Following her hospitalization, Cyrus was forced to postpone her concert series. On Tuesday, the singer resumed the tour at London's O2 Arena.

"I didn't have a drug overdose," Cyrus added during the press conference. "I took some s----- antibiotics that a doctor gave me for a sinus infection and I had a reaction."

At the time of the allergic reaction, a spokesperson for Cyrus said that the singer would need to remain at the hospital for an extended period of time. The singer stayed in the hospital for a total of two weeks.

"She will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor's care until we see some improvement and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time," the publicist said. "Miley is devastated about missing shows and possible disappointing her fans."

Fortunately, Cyrus is now feeling better and "ready" to resume the Bangerz tour.

"You have no idea how ready I am," she said ahead of opening the European leg of the tour on Tuesday. "There is nothing I would rather not do than lay in bed for two weeks. It was the most miserable two weeks of my life."

The singer also shared her excitement on Twitter ahead of Tuesday's sold-out show, writing, "I can't f------ wait forrrr the showwwww tonight."
