According to a police affidavit, indications of a "positive 'hit' [scent of a cadaver] were found by the dog on the carpet next to the mother's bed.

Originally restricting full police access to the home, baby Lisa's parents, Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin, had allowed law enforcement officers only into areas accessible to an intruder such as doors and windows.

Only after an affidavit was filed with a Kansas City court was a search warrant issued for the Irwin family home to let police search the bedroom and "... an area of the carpeted floor of Bradley's bedroom near the bed."

Police also left with several items of clothing and toys.

Forensics experts are quick to say cadaver dogs have been wrong in the past, and in other court cases their consistency and accuracy have been challenged.

On the affidavit, the police request said, "A more extensive and intrusive search needs to be completed at the property where the baby was last accounted."

The affidavit also said that Lisa's mother, "... made the statement she did not initially look for her baby behind the house because she 'was afraid of what she might find'."

Monday, it was also revlealed that a neighbor says he saw a baby in the arms of a man at 4:00 a.m. on the morning of baby Lisa's disappearance. That statement has since been corroborated by surveillance footage from a gas station near the baby's Kansas City home.

The video shows a man dressed in white leaving a leafy area at 2:30 a.m. local time the night the baby was last seen.

The video, if verified, allegedly follows statements by at least three witnesses who reported seeing a man with a baby in that area the night Lisa disappeared.
