But Luke finds the banjo and quickly learns to play it well. Phil, not wanting to be one-upped by his son, decides to teach him an acrobatic move on the trampoline as he hopes to be able to do something that his son can't. But that backfires when Luke proves to be a natural on the trampoline. Later, Phil decides to stop Luke from playing the banjo and when goes upstairs to confront him, Phil nearly blinds Luke.

At the clinic, Phil tells Luke that the only reason why he's been acting so strange is that Luke has been doing everything better than him all day, and also, he's getting old.

At the festival, Haley tries to get Alex to loosen up but she ends up getting drunk. The two get separated, and Haley calls her mother. Claire looks at Alex's computer to find clues and she learns that Alex didn't get into Harvard. Haley finds Alex and tells her that she knows about Harvard, but she shouldn't worry because she'll be fine, no matter which school she goes to.
