Morena Baccarin Baby Boy Arrives, 'Homeland' Star 'Happy' With Breech Delivery
Morena Baccarin and her husband Austin Chick welcomed their first child, a baby boy, this week.
The "Homeland" actress gave birth to eight-pound baby Julius on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
"Julius and his mother are happy and healthy," her spokesperson told People.com.

Following the delivery, Morena thanked Dr. Ronald Wu at Glendale Adventist Medical Center, the only doctor in the Los Angeles area who provides mothers with the option of a natural breech delivery.
"I'm so happy I was able to deliver with Dr. Wu," she explained to People. "Breech delivery is a dying art and he gave me the birth experience I wanted."
Breech deliveries pose unique risks to both the infant and the mother and usually entail the child being born either feet-first or buttocks-first. The procedure of a breech delivery has become controversial, with many doctors preferring the baby be delivered via C-section.
Baccarin and her director husband married in 2011. The Emmy-nominated actress announced her pregnancy back in May and continued filming "Homeland" without issue.
"I can't express how nice it is to be in a work environment where you are nurtured as a pregnant woman," she said to People. "Everybody's allowed me to have my space, do the work I need to do, but at the same time, they're really taking care of me."
Nevertheless, Baccarin admitted that pregnancy made dressing for the 2013 Emmy Awards last month that much harder.
"It is hard, it makes things very limited in the shapes that you can wear," the actress explained to HollywoodLife.com. "Someone, someday, will make a killing designing killer clothes for pregnant people. They are hard to find."
Baccarin made it to the Emmy Awards nonetheless.
"It's my first nomination," said the actress who was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama at the time. "So [I was going to] be there no matter what!"
