National Milk Chocolate Day Today, Where to Score Free Deals

National Milk Chocolate Day 2014 arrived on Monday and people across the U.S. are celebrating the sweet treat.

The holiday arrives each year on July 28 – just weeks after National Chocolate Lovers Day takes place on July 7. However, National Milk Chocolate Day honors the specific flavor of chocolate that is made from solid chocolate blended with milk on the form of milk powder, liquid milk or condensed milk. The special chocolate is different from other common chocolates such as dark and white chocolate since it contains 25 percent or less cocoa.

When milk is added to chocolate, the sweet treat takes on a smoother and sweeter taste that many chocolate lovers prefer. Milk chocolate can be found in candy, baking recipes, and hot chocolate, to name just a few items. It is important to note that milk chocolate is different from chocolate milk, which is a drink where chocolate is stirred into milk. The drink may also be served hot in a treat that is known as hot chocolate.
