NeNe Leakes Gets Record Bravo TV Ratings

NeNe Leakes has proven that after six seasons of being a staple on Bravo TV's "Real Housewives of Atlanta," she is still one of the network's most popular personalities.

Leakes, the 46-year-old actress and only original cast member left on the hit Bravo TV reality television series, reportedly broke a ratings record on the network's hit late night talk show, "Watch What Happens Live."

On the show, Bravo executive and host Andy Cohen usually welcomes two guests, but Leakes is one of the few entertainers that have joined people like media maven Oprah Winfrey in an individual interview with the show's host.

It seems Leakes' most recent one-on-one interview with Cohen on "What What Happens Live" has become the highest rated episode of the season, according to Nielsen.

"Around 3.5 million people tuned in to see NeNe stop by the clubhouse, and an estimated 2 million of those were in the target 18-49 demographic," WetPaint Entertainment reports.

Still, Leakes has previously spoken about feeling she has been painted in a bad light on her own show, "Real Housewives of Atlanta."

"I feel like these networks and production companies- I'm just keeping it real- I just feel like they build you up to tear you down," she said in an interview with Essence last month. "I feel like they've done whatever they could do to try to not show me in the best light."

Leakes went on to explain her position on the matter.

"I feel like so many people cry wolf on editing. I'm just saying that they've done whatever they could to try to diminish anything that I've done and I'm okay with it because I know about reality TV," she said. "Every season there has to be a villain; there has to be somebody that straddles the fence, and there has to be a little (expletive) stirrer. All of those things make the show."
