'New Girl' Season 5 Spoilers: New Teaser Shows The Boys Doing A Bollywood Dance For Cece
"New Girl" Season 4 ended with a surprise engagement between Cece (Hannah Simone) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield), and the fifth season of the Fox sitcom will focus on preparations for their upcoming wedding.
The season premiere, scheduled for Jan. 5, will show the couple's engagement party and in it, Schmidt will meet Cece's unimpressed mom (Anna George) for the first time. Meanwhile, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) has something special planned for Cece, and it involves Schmidt, Nick (Jake Johnson), Winston (Lamorne Morries), and the power of dance.
"Any moment that Jake, Lamorne, and Max dance is my favorite moment in the world," Hannah Simone says in the introduction of a new promotional video for Season 5. She adds, "And in this wonderful season premiere, you get to see the three of them dance."

"And not just dance," she points out, "but Bollywood dance."
The sneak peek shows an enthusiastic Schmidt performing a lively Indian dance as Cece, her visibly disapproving mother, and their guests, including Cece's ex Robby (Nelson Franklin) look on. While Cece appears smitten over the whole thing, her impeccably dressed mother who has flown in from India for the wedding, looks anything but.
Halfway through the performance, Nick joins in, and Winston hops in as well just before the dance ends. Jess, who is in a motorized wheelchair with one arm in a cast and both legs broken, introduces the performance and joins the gang onstage afterwards, as Cece gives Schmidt an appreciative smooch.
Apart from the engagement party and the wedding, Season 5 will also feature a couple of guest stars. Peter Gallagher will play the role of Schmidt's father and Megan Fox will reprise her role as Reagan, who rents out Jess's room while she is elsewhere on jury duty. Fox is set to appear on the sixth episode of the upcoming season.
The fifth season of "New Girl" premieres Jan. 5 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
