New Jersey Cheerleader Shot 'Execution Style': Cheyanne Bond's College Fund Used for Funeral Instead (PHOTO)
A New Jersey cheerleader was shot "execution style" last weekend alongside her ex-boyfriend, forcing her family to use the money they had saved for her coming college tuition on her funeral instead. Cheyanne Bond, 17, was forced to her knees in Newark before being shot in the head by an unknown assailant.
The New Jersey cheerleader that was shot had been walking down a street in Newark at about 9:45 p.m. from an undisclosed location. Cheyanne's friend, whose name has been withheld as he is a witness, is recovering from his gunshot wound but the 17-year-old died from her wounds.
"They told her to get on her knees and they shot her in the head execution style," Cheyanne's uncle, Michael Bond, told CBS News. "Just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time."

Security cameras showed two men walking along the same street after the gruesome murder occurred: one of the men had on a white short-sleeved shirt with a long-sleeved shirt underneath it, brown shorts and a hood, while the other had on blue denims, a white t-shirt and a baseball cap.
Police believe the two men may have witnessed the shooting, and have released the security camera footage to encourage them to step forward. A $12,500 reward is also being offered for any information that leads to the killer's arrest.
Bond, who graduated from Malcolm X Shabazz High School in Newark just two weeks ago, had intended on going to college for nursing. She moved in with her aunt Sara Newsome after her mother's death about 10 years ago.
Cheyanne was "an angel and definitely a blessing," Newsome told NJ.com. She was "just a normal teenager living her life."
Cheyanne's aunt said the teen had left the house in Irvington at about 6 p.m. and didn't intend to be out late. Now the cheerleader's college fund is being used to pay funeral costs.
Police say they have not yet established a motive for the slaying, but are considering robbery.
