New Tekken 7 Character Teases Gamers for Preview of the Gameplay

Tekken 7 has released a preview of their new character to be added to their roster of fighters. Shaheen, a Saudi Arabian mystery man, was revealed.

The image was posted by Tekken director Katushiro Harada in his Twitter account. Shasheen appered to be more relaxed with a "flowing cape and traditional keffiyeh headscarf," according to Independent. This representation is like an opposite to another new character, Lucky Chloe.

Lucky Chloe has received a couple of backlash from Twitter users, especially the western commenters, who said they were "not happy" with how Lucky Chloe was represented. This new character is said to be "wacky and predictable."

As a response, Harada said, "By the way, are you 'Western' only one bulletin board? Hello small world. I'll make muscular & skinhead character for you. Remember, I said we've more new characters and She is ONE on THEM [sic]."

NeoGAF stated that Lucky Chloe is going to be a "furry Vocaloid idol." Then he pointed this out to Harada. "Christ please don't be an idol. If it is, I will use dark magic to attack Harada."

Harada did not back down as he said: "Calm down and don't worry. That character [is] East Asia and Europe 'Exclusive.' And I'll say again, we've more new characters in [Tekken 7]. She is JUST one of them, and she will be country exclusive (or region exclusive). We [won't] include her for your region. That's why I said 'calm down and don't worry.'"

A different user asked why Lucky Chloe will not be released in North America. He said that they will provide a different character that will suit the North American culture.

"Because you don't need that character right? It's simple thing. And I'll say 'Don't worry' again. I'll release another character for you guys. I said we've more new characters. Example: Looks well-muscled, Skin-head, Very powerful attack (I don't like this idea but if you need)."

Tekken 7 will be launched in Japanese arcades this coming February.
