New TV Show Explores Christian Response to Suffering
Reformed Theological Seminary CEO Dr. Michael Milton aired a new Bible studies series, "Faith for Living," on the NRB Network early this month.
The program series for 2011 is entitled "A Doxology in the Darkness: How God Transforms our Pain into Praise" and explores a Christian response to suffering, answering questions such as "why would God allow me to suffer when I love Him?"
A book by the same name is due to be released in September.

In the meantime, audiences will have a chance to preview the content through the new TV program. Radio broadcasting from Milton's home town in Charlotte, N.C., will also be available online 24/7 and on select radio stations in Florida and North Carolina.
Milton, also a singer/songwriter, is slated to release a new album in February. In Through the Open Door, he continues to carry on his blends of folk, bluegrass, rock and gospel music. The album visualizes the American life and unites man's heart to the spiritual life such as God's sovereignty, sins and its ramifications, redemption through Christ and a hope for eternity with God.
He will donate two-thirds of the profit to Reformed Theological Seminary for the education of pastors and missionaries.
Milton was the former pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga, Tenn. He planted two churches and founded Westminster Academy Christian School in Overland Park, Kansas. He earned his doctorate degree in theology from The University of Wales and holds multiple degrees from such respected institutions such as the Defense Language Institute, Knox Theological Seminary and MidAmerica Nazarene University.
He has written 11 books and currently writes for scholarly periodicals and, as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, serves as an instructor at the U.S. Army Chaplain Center and School in Fort Jackson, S.C.
