Nintendo NX Release Date & Rumors: Speculated To Be Revealed At E3 2016, Coming With Android OS?

It's been almost a year since Nintendo announced their latest flagship product dubbed as the Nintendo NX. But until now, official information about it are still few. There are reports though that it's going to be revealed soon. According to a report by Inquisitr, several rumors point to a reveal during the E3 2016.

The speculation was based on the fact that Nintendo has already confirmed that they will be conducting a preview of the product this year. And since E3 is approaching, many believe that the event will be the perfect platform for Nintendo to officially launch the device.

As for the full and final launch, a report from Expert Reviews says that there are rumors saying that the upcoming console may be available at the end of 2016, perhaps sometime in October and November. It also said that there may be a possibility that it will take longer than expected. But then again, that may not be the case as a new report emerged this week and it said that dev kits have already been supplied to key second and third-party partners, as noted in Express UK.

Regardless of the full release, fans can be assured that more information about the Nintendo NX will be revealed this year. Some reports are going ahead of the company though. An anonymous insider told the Japanese newspaper "Nikkei Shimbun" that the new console may allegedly be installed with an Android operating system. But since there is no confirmation to this, it's best to take it with a pinch of salt.

New chief executive Tatsumi Kimishim also previously revealed that the NX will not be a newer version of the Wii U. Instead, he described in an interview with Time that the NX will be the "next step" in their "dedicated device strategy, the core and primary focus" of their business.
