Oprah Winfrey Injures Back Because of Tyler Perry

Oprah Winfrey turned 59 years old recently but threw her back out when she received a large gift from friend and filmmaker Tyler Perry.

While Winfrey let over 16 million Twitter followers know that she did not plan to change out of her pajamas on her birthday, Perry's gift may have forced her to stay inside of her home for the day.

"Thanks everyone for your birthday wishes. Enjoying lunch with Stedman," the media maven tweeted. "No plans to leave p.j.'s all day."

However, Perry let his Facebook fans know that his large arrangement of flowers forced Winfrey to temporarily injure herself.

"I like to send really large flower arrangements to people for whatever occasion," Perry admitted. "Well, I sent one to Oprah yesterday for her birthday. She strained her back picking it up. No joke!"

Perry offered his apologies to the media maven after letting the world know that his gift caused her some pain.

"Feel better Oprah. Happy birthday," Perry wrote on Facebook. "Sorry. :-( Next year I'm sending her one rose. :-)"

Perry is reportedly gearing up to bring two series to Winfrey's OWN Networks next spring. According to WhoGotTheRole.com, one of Perry's series is a 1-hour drama called The Haves and The Have Nots and the other is a half-hour comedy series titled Love Thy Neighbor.

Viewers will reportedly see the two new series beginning May 29. The comedy series will reportedly feature actors Jonathan Chase, Palmer Williams, Patrice Lovely, Kendra C. Johnson, Andre Hall and Darmirra Brunson.

"The show will be set at Love's Diner, where every day the menu serves up good food, great laughs, valuable life lessons and a whole lot of love for its many neighbors," according to the Who Got The Role website.

While The Haves and the Have Nots is still reportedly being cast, the website reports that the drama will center around a well-off family and their housekeeper's poor family while exploring the obstacles taking place within both households.
