Panasonic Toughpad FZ-N1 Announced, Specs Include 4.7-Inch Display, Snapdragon 801, 8MP Camera

Japanese tech company Panasonic joined in the hype during the Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona, Spain and it introduced one of its latest smartphones in the Toughpad series. According to The Times of India, the company unveiled the Toughpad FZ-N1 together with another variant, which is the FZ-F1.

Android Authority detailed that the Toughpad FZ-N1 is described as an Android-powered ruggedized "handheld tablet." Its physical appearance is chunky and heavy, and as noted in PCMag Asia, it is IP67 waterproof and shockproof. Its screen size is only 4.7 inches but with HD display and 1280x720 pixels resolution. It also has a rain sensing and glove touch mode.

Moreover, the source mentioned that the new device comes with an unspecified quad-core Snapdragon processor. It is paired with 2 GB of RAM and has an internal storage space of 16 GB that can be further expanded up to 64 GB via a microSD card slot.

Gadgets 360 also noted that the smartphone runs with Android 5.1.1 and is powered with a 3200mAh removable battery. The company claims that the battery is capable of "operating beyond a typical 8-hour shift." As for the camera specs, the Toughpad FZ-N1 features ann 8-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for taking selfies and video calls. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, GPS, NFC, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, micro USb and Bluetooth v4.1 (Class 1).

There are also other unique features incorporated into the device such as the passive and active digitizer and pen input. This can be useful for retail and warehouse workers that require getting signatures from clients or customers. The device is also capable of producing great audio experience as it has extremely loud speakers.

The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-N1 will be made available beginning June in Europe and it will have a price tag of €1,715.
