The missing plane was only found Tuesday morning, 15 miles south of Huntsville in rural western Arkansas.

Local resident Phyllis Turner told 5News: "I think it was around 2:10, 2:30 when I heard the boom," Turner said. "Something had to happen somewhere because there was no traffic out here at all."

The couple were the owners of Williams Construction Co. in Pror, Okla. It is not clear if they owned the aircraft.

Officials are currently investigating the cause of the plane crash.
