Prince William and Kate Middleton Cycle to Work Using London's Rental Bike Scheme
Prince William and Kate Middleton love to cycle around London in the city’s free bike scheme, according to reports.
St James’s Palace confirmed that the royal couple uses the rental bikes, also known to the general public as “Boris bikes,” named after London’s Mayor Boris Johnson who introduced the scheme.
A spokesman for the palace said: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge occasionally use the London cycle scheme bicycles to undertake private journeys around London.”

Will and Kate’s home is located in Kensington and their journey to their office in St James’ Palace takes approximately 20 minutes by bike.
Johnson told British radio station LBC last week that they are well-known to use the bikes, which are more commonly associated with London commuters.
“I don't know for certain, but I was told that members of the royal family do use them,” he said.
London’s free bike scheme was introduced in July 2010. So far, 8 million journeys have been made with those bikes.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had received a tandem Boris bike from the Mayor as a wedding present earlier this year. It is not known what they have done with the bike.
