Prince William and Kate Middleton to Move to Scotland?

There have been reports that Prince William and Kate Middleton will move back to Scotland as the prince continues his career in the RAF. Currently, Prince William, who is trained as a co-pilot, is working in Wales as part of the RAF search and rescue team. However, it is rumored that he might be considering a transfer to RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland.

The royal pair met in Scotland while they were both studying at St Andrew’s University. The move would mean that they would be near the university, where William signed up to be the patron for its 600th anniversary celebration appeal.

Lossiemouth was apparently William’s second choice for his posting, after RAF Valley in Wales.

According to a senior RAF source: “Lossiemouth is simply considered the best place for an RAF search and rescue pilot. It has a great combination of mountain and sea work but covering more and bigger mountains than Wales. It offers more variety and action. It will also give the chance for William to command his own helicopter.”

According to an aide, “A move to Lossiemouth for Prince William and Catherine is part of a long-term forecast but this is the preferred option. It will allow the Duke to continue his RAF career while experiencing a different base and the couple always enjoy their time in Scotland. While nothing is ever set in stone for working Royals, this is the plan on the table as they look ahead.”

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton attended her first Remembrance Sunday ceremony at the Cenotaph in London today. She was dressed in black, along with all the royal women, including the Queen. She wore a black double breasted coat and a small brimmed hat with a large bow. She was seated next to the Duchess of Cornwall and the Countess of Wessex. Prince William and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence were also on the balcony.
