PS4 Release Date: Playstation 4 May Release at End of October

The PS4 release date may have been unintentionally revealed to be October 29, as Amazon.com is listing Playstation 4 games to be available that day.

According to Daily Game, the E3 event seemed to suggest a November 19 release date, but because of Amazon's listings of games at October 29 (Battlefield 4), and November 5 (Call of Duty: Ghosts), the console may arrive earlier.

Generally a couple of games will hit shelves the day the system does with a few subsequent drops in the days after, so with the proposed release dates, PS4 could show up even sooner.

As for Playstation original games, hardware, and accessories, PS4 lists December 31 on their site, which could just be a decoy.

The Xbox One is expected to arrive November 27 just in time for Black Friday.
PS4's presales have been phenomenal, and Sony is offering four different bundles compared to Microsoft's one, Xbox One Day One.

When the PS3 released in 2006, retailers were concerned by the consoles high price tag, but since the PS4 is even cheaper than its predecessor and lower priced than Xbox One, the company is telling people to expect 10x more units per shipments reports Daily Game.

PS4 has been heralded as the console to buy, especially after Edge magazine front paged the system and proclaimed that Xbox had "blown it" when it comes to which system to buy reports MCVuk.com.

The magazine even pictured the PS4 with the caption, "This is your next console, why the only option right now is the PS4."

Now the magazine cover is making waves over the Internet and through tech forums and gamers and is slated to hit shelves on July 4. This is a huge blow to Microsoft as they are trying to change some of the initial ideas of the Xbox One to help ease the backlash against certain decisions.

"Sony crushed Microsoft at E3 2013," the magazine said in their conclusion of the two systems. Edge had also previously proclaimed the PS3 as the winner of the last generation of consoles.
