Real Housewives of Atlanta: Kandi Burruss Postpones Honeymoon to Support Todd Tucker's Dreams
Kandi Burruss may have gotten married Friday, but the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" singer-songwriter is not honeymooning with her new husband.
Burruss, has been documenting her relationship with Todd Tucker on the Bravo series "Real Housewives of Atlanta" where she met the television producer. While the wedding was initially met with opposition from her mother who is known as Mama Joyce on the show, Burruss walked down the aisle on Friday evening.
However, Burruss explained why she was thanking fans and friends on Instagram for their wishes in the days following instead of honeymooning with her new husband.

"I know people are asking why am I on IG when I should be on my honeymoon. Well @todd167's has to go out of town to set up a show his company is producing for a network that's just starting production this week. We're gonna do a quick getaway next weekend," Burruss explained. "Although I would have loved to take one of those long honeymoons & fly out the day after the wedding, anyone that watched #RHOA knows that I wanted Todd to produce his own shows & work for his self & that dream is coming true so I'm not complaining!"
While Burruss thanked supporters for their prayers and insists she is "blessed & highly favored," she admitted that it would not be easy traveling between Atlanta and L.A. where her husband's job will take him for the next five months. Still, she made sure to support her husband by saying, "Send him some love & congrats on his show being picked up as well!"
The entertainer made sure to let the world know how magical her wedding day was when news broke of her exchanging vows Friday evening.
"This is one of the best days of my life! I never imagined that I would marry my best friend. Todd's been that to me," Burruss told In Touch Weekly. "And to have just had the wedding of my dreams, it's all been so beautiful. Now it's time to party!"
Last week, Burruss took to her Instagram account to share her bridal shower images with fans. Despite accusing Tucker of being an opportunist and unfaithful to his fiancee, Mama Joyce appeared with some "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast members and Burruss' friends to celebrate the 37-year-old's upcoming nuptials.
"Looking forward to a fun day with friends & family," Burruss exclaimed on Instagram last week.
