Reba McEntire Dead? Not According to the Singer
Contrary to reports on Twitter, Reba McEntire is not dead.
Rumors of the country singer's death have been circulating on Twitter, started by a user famous for creating the death hoax. McEntire took to her own Twitter account to reassure fans that she was alive and well.
"There is a rumor going around that I died after falling off a mountain in Austria yesterday while shooting a movie. While I would love to be shooting a movie in Austria, I definitely did not fall off a mountain!" she tweeted.

"Nor am I dead!" she continued. "I am alive and kicking!!! Most of you know this already because I've been giving you daily accounts of Shelby's race. Oh well. Have a great day."
McEntire is an icon in the country music business, with seven Academy of Country Music awards and 12 American Music awards.
She is currently working on a television comeback, filming the new ABC series "Malibu Country," which will feature McEntire as a divorcee who moves to Malibu in hopes of restarting her music career. She has previously been on "Reba," in which she played a divorcee struggling to raise three children.
In real life, McEntire is married to Narvel Blackstock and is the mother of one son, Shelby. She and Blackstock celebrated their twentieth wedding anniversary in 2009, she told reporters that the keys to a successful marriage were "respect, faith, love, trust, and lots of patience."
McEntire has seen some dark times, though. In 1991, she lost seven members of her band in a horrific plane crash. She dedicated her album "For My Broken Heart" to the band members. The title song focuses on the feeling that "the world ain't gonna (sic) stop for my broken heart."
It reached number one on the Billboard country music chart.
