'Reign' Season 3 Episode 7 Spoilers: Mary Learns The Horrifying Truth About Her Suitor
As if grieving for her lost love wasn't heavy enough for her heart to carry, Queen Mary is about to get even more stressed out when The CW's hit historical fantasy drama TV series "Reign" Season 3 returns this week with its midseason finale titled "The Hound And The Hare."
According to the synopsis shared over at SpoilerTV.com, the visit of Prince Don Carlos to the French court is of no mere coincidence. Apparently, the Spanish royalty is there for one political mission - to merge France to his kingdom, and the way to do this is to marry the widow of the recently-deceased King Francis.
Of course, the plan doesn't come one-sided as it has been revealed in the promo video for the episode where Catherine urges the bereft Queen of Scotland to remarry. The latter's mother-in-law sees the mysterious suitor to be the most fitting contender for her hand.

"Wed Don Carlos. Spain is the greatest power in Europe," she pleaded to Mary.
However, there's more to the Spanish debonair than what meets the eye. As it turns out, the Prince holds a dark secret that Mary must get wind of before she agrees to marry him. Coming to her rescue is once again Catherine with whom Mary will ask for advice on how to handle this very critical situation.
In another development, Queen Elizabeth will be sending someone from her English court to visit Mary. With her current vulnerability, it was a wise move from the latter to suspect Elizabeth's ambassador to the French court.
Other characters, especially those who are around the Queen, also feel the same way towards the English ambassador. Some even speculate that Gideon could be an assassin sent by Elizabeth to kill Mary and end her reign.
Meanwhile, Bash's quest to track down a mysterious murderer is now coming to an end as he is about to confront the person at Greer's tavern. Who could this person be?
