'Resident Evil 6' Release Date Announced by Capcom
Capcom recently announced that the release of "Resident Evil 6" will be on Nov. 20 of this year.
The game will be available for two consoles including the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. There will also be a Windows based version released for the PC shortly after the console versions launch.
"'Resident Evil 6' represents a giant stride forward in the evolution of the series," said Capcom's head of R&D and global marketing, Katsuhiko Ichii in a statement. "The development team, led by Hiroyuki Kobayashi, is working tirelessly to deliver the most impressive Resident Evil title ever both in terms of scope and production values."

The video game company also revealed Resident Evil 6's plot on its web site.
The latest sequel takes place 10 years after the first two games that were released in 1996 and 1998. The president of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind the events that took place in Raccoon City involving the spreading of a virus that turned its citizens into zombies during the first two games in hopes to curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity. The president's close friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, who is also the main hero in Resident Evil 2 and 4 stands by the presidents side as the announcement is about to be made. However, the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack of its own and the president is transformed into a monster.
Elsewhere, Chris Redfield, one of the main characters from the original Resident Evil along with Code Veronica and 5 is arriving into China that is also under threat of a bioterrorist attack. He currently works with the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance and will most likely battle his way through zombies in order to restore order in the nation.
