Rick Ross Thinks He Deserves Corporate Forgiveness After Date Rape Lyrics?
Rick Ross is reportedly feeling like he was unfairly fired as a spokesman for Reebok sports apparel brand. The rapper lost out on millions of dollars because of his recent rap lyrics seemingly condoning date rape.
Ross, the 37-year-old Miami, Fla., rapper thought he deserved to be forgiven by his corporate sponsor, who dropped him after he appeared on fellow rapper Rocko's song "U.O.E.N.O." In the song, Ross speaks about drugging a woman with a drug made popular in the rap industry- molly, which led to protests and Reebok cutting their ties with the music artist.
"Ross is telling people he was entitled to corporate forgiveness because he did so much for the brand … bringing classic Reeboks back in style in the hip-hop community," a source reportedly told TMZ recently.

Last week, Reebok released a statement about their decision to cut ties with Ross.
"Reebok holds our partners to a high standard, and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand. Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so," Reebok said in a statement to Billboard. "While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse. At this time, it is in everyone's best interest for Reebok to end its partnership with Mr. Ross."
The decision came one week after UltraViolet, a community of individuals fighting for women's rights, protested along with dozens of women who presented thousands of petitions and signs that read, "Hey Reebok-- Want my business? Stop promoting rape. Drop Rick Ross."
Although Ross did offer an apology for his offensive lyrics on Twitter, the rapper stands to lose between $3.5 million and $5 million from his severed deal with Reebok, according to TMZ.
