Ricki Lake Loses More Weight, Slated to Win 'DWTS'

“Dancing with the Stars” contestants usually lose weight during the show, but Ricki Lake has lost over 20 pounds in six rounds.

“I’m definitely a size six now,” said Lake to The Huffington Post. “I’ll probably be a size four by the end of it.”

“It’s come to the point where it doesn’t matter,” the former television personality said. “I no longer wear Spanx.”

Lake and Derek Hough, her dance partner, continue to reign at the top with their scores on the hit TV show. The couple is this season’s strongest contenders in terms of average scores.

Previously speaking to People magazine, Lake divulged that she was avoiding shopping for a wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials due to her weight before “Dancing with the Stars.”

“It’s not a bad way to get in shape for your wedding,” Lake said, after having lost 12 inches in just three weeks.

Widely predicted to win the dancing championship, Lake posted on her Twitter account Tuesday that she is thankful to be in the running: “Finally heading home after 1st Team Dance rehearsal post results show. Me sleepy. &sore. Oh & grateful to still be here.”

 “Sometimes Derek can be tough but only to make me look good,” Lake elaborated on Twitter.

Rob Kardashian, a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars” and reality TV celebrity, has reportedly shed weight since appearing on the show.

Kardashian’s dance partner, Cheryl Burk, commented on his changed appearance, to People: “His whole physical appearance has changed. He’s using different muscles. He’s super sore all the time. I’m not sure if he’s changing his diet, but the cardio is really good.”

“Dancing with the Stars” airs on ABC Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST.
