Rihanna Afraid to Fall in Love After 'Pain' From Chris Brown Split
Rihanna has opened up about her love life and the challenges she now faces when trying to find someone new following her heartbreaking split from Chris Brown.
The 24-year-old Bajan singer, who denies reports that she and Brown have rekindled their romance, claims that her fashion sense is reflective of her love life. She describes both as being "conservative," according to Harpers Bazaar.
"[I'm] rebellious through my music, through my fashion, tattoos, and my hair. I have been conservative in my love life … it's pretty much nonexistent," Rihanna told Harpers' Laura Brown.

"If I come across someone who I find really cool, I'll hang out. But the minute I find that we're getting too close I just- I don't let people in," she added.
Rihanna dated Brown, 23, for several years before their widely publicized relationship came to an abrupt end in 2009 following a domestic violence incident.
Since that time the "We Found Love" singer says that she has struggled to fall in love again, which she says is the direct result of the extreme "pain" that she endured during and after her split from Brown.
"When I was in love, I fell so hard. I was really, really, really in love. The way it made me feel was priceless. And in a blink of an eye my whole life changed," Rihanna said referring to the night in which Brown was arrested for savagely beating her.
"Everything that I knew was different. I never thought I'd feel that pain in my life. I'm afraid of feeling that again," she added.
Rihanna was recently criticized for her recent collaboration with Brown on the hit song "Birthday Cake."
The pair agreed to work with one another three years after their very public break-up, and fans were angry at Rihanna for forgiving him over the physical attack. The singer's face was left bloodied, bruised and almost unrecognizable after Brown beat her.
"And that's how f----- up society is. There's a lot of s--- y'all can't get over. Y'all holding your breath on a lot of stuff that doesn't matter. When you realize who you live for, and who's important to please, a lot of people will actually start living," Rihanna told Esquire UK.
"I thought people were gonna be surprised that we finally did a record together, but I didn't see how people could think it was a bad thing, you know? In my mind, it was just music," she added.
