Rihanna Showcases Drug Use, Refuses Rehabilitation?

Rihanna, 24-year-old Barbadian pop singer, recently posted pictures to her Twitter account that showed her breaking down what appeared to be drugs on the head of a man whose shoulders she was seated on in order to see above the crowd at the recent Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The singer also took the time to explain her actions to fans on Twitter.

"I'm crazy and I don't pretend to be anything else," the singer tweeted.

The image with Rihanna breaking up what many have speculated to be either marijuana or cocaine on a man's head attracted thousands of comments from shocked fans.

"Would Rihanna really be that dumb to do cocaine off some bald man's head," one person questioned. "I doubt it and who cares. She's like, the hottest thing."

However, another fan seemed to be less forgiving of the singer.

"Rihanna taking cocaine," the fan tweeted. "That's right, just waste your life away. I'm sure rehab is looking forward to having you there."

However, the singer recently ruled out rehabilitation for herself. In an interview with Mondanite magazine, Rihanna reportedly said she will not succumb to the pressures of her high-profile lifestyle by turning to drugs.

"That will never happen to me. I refuse to crack under pressure -- in fact I thrive on it," Rihanna told the publication. "So when I read about Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse who have suffered under it, it's sad. It is easy to criticise them but it happens. You just have to stay focused and keep your feet on the ground."

Instead, the singer said she allows her best friend to keep her grounded.

"Staying down to earth in this industry in general is really not easy, but I am strong and when I feel lost or depressed on the road, I call my best friend Melissa," she told the publication. "When I see people turning to drugs and alcohol, then that's when I call Melissa. She helps me get through things."
